Who is Gooding Joinery?

Gooding Joinery is family business run by Jake and Amy. 10 years in the making. Based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UK.

Hi I’m Jake. Carpentry is in my blood, as a kid I worked with my Dad during school holidays labouring on his many building projects. I’ve grown with woodworking in my life and now do what I love as job. What could be better!

I qualified as a carpenter and joiner 15 years ago. But after 5 years of joinery and property maintenance work for various clients large and small, I’ve been working in the cycle industry for the last 10 years and joinery became part time. I’m now able to return to my passion as a full time career.

I’m excited by interesting projects and solving problems, happy to consider any ideas and discuss where I can be of assistance.

I’m supported by my wife who assists with all aspects of the business. From website design and social media content, accounting and admin to picking up a paint brush or sander if needed!
